The Mosler MT900 is a glimpse of what the C5 could have been if GM went mid-engined with the Corvette program in the early 2000’s. It was the product of an economist named Warren Mosler and Corvette Design team member Rod Trenne hence the “MT” and “900” represented its weight in kilograms. In 2003 the MT900R would win the Rolex 24 at Daytona in the GTS class, beating the legendary C5R and Saleen S7R. Less than 50 road going examples were made with engines ranging from a 5.7L 350HP LS1 to a 7.0L
