Because the unfused powder supports the part during printing, there's no need for dedicated support structures. This makes it easy to design print-in-place assemblies—enabling unique, integrated parts that require no additional hardware and come out of the printer fully assembled. Our Nylon 12 sample part demonstrates many of these capabilities, featuring multiple moving printed-in-place components and fine details that highlight the minimum feature size achievable with the Formlabs Fuse 1 30W.
